1.) There's a church on every corner...
LITERALLY! There is a church on every corner you look. It kind of reminds me of seeing a Starbucks on every corner when you're in a city.
2.) People don't drink coffee here!
Okay so speaking of Starbucks, many people love their morning coffee from Starbucks right? Well if you like your daily morning coffee I suggest you don't move to Utah. There's maybe one within a fifteen mile radius.
3.) The drivers are crazy!
I came from a small town but I've driven in cities before such as Seattle, Chicago, San Diego, Atlanta, Reno, and L.A. There are rude drivers out there but so far Utah has taken the cake in the worst drivers. I've never had so many close calls driving where I could've been in a gnarly accident until I moved here. It's like no one knows how to drive. Also don't even get me started on the traffic here... It's awful!
4.) Everyone has gone on a mission.
Where ever I go, all I hear about is how someone just served a mission in Brazil or somewhere else. I feel like it's all anyone can talk about. I'll be talking to someone about Harry Potter and then they're like, "Oh! I went on a mission once!" And it has nothing to do with our discussion. Also, if you haven't gone on a mission people look at you differently.
5.) It's a very "Cookie Cutter" world...
If you stand out in any way, you're looked down on in a certain way. Like me for example, I have four piercings, one tattoo, and my head is shaved. People look at me in a different way and I have gotten some judging looks from others and comments along with it. It feels like if you don't fit the "Cookie Cutter" image, then you're frowned upon.
