Now that the beginning of the year has finally kicked off, the daily demands of your time more than likely have too. Each day poses demands from work, school, friends, family, and so much more, and it can become increasingly more difficult to spend time on the one thing that matters--you.
Introverts are known for their desire and need to have some time to themselves to think things over and recharge, but even extroverts need some "me time." Whether that be through time alone, or time doing things you enjoy, it is essential that you take the time to recharge.
Managing to find time to yourself can be difficult and seemingly an impossible task, but it is essential toward your well being. Here are some simple suggestions to help you connect with yourself and still manage to do it all.
1. Adult Coloring
Adult coloring books have become increasingly more popular, and for good reasons. They offer people time to relax and get "away" from stress. There have been many studies proving the benefits of coloring to be high for adults. This can be a great way to relax after a long day of work and also a great way to release your inner creativity.
2. A Walk

A walk can be a great form of exercising as well as a great way to let go of stress for the day. Whether you walk alone or with a (furry) friend, walking is a great way to allow your brain time to process the events of the day.
3. A Good Book
A book is a perfect way to get away. Through the characters of the book and the setting in faraway places, there are always possibilities outside of our everyday routine.
4. Experiment in the Kitchen

Nothing can be as healing and freeing as food. Food is the magical language of culture and feelings and allows a productive way to release all that pent up steam that you have built up.
