As we head into the last five months of 2016, let's all remember that a lot of great rock and metal albums have already been released this year. However, there are still plenty more to come out. Here are five that you should check out.
1. A Day to Remember - "Bad Vibrations"
A Day to Remember's "Bad Vibrations" is set to be released on September 2, courtesy of ADTR Records. This will be the band's sixth studio album. The band has currently released three singles from the album, those being "Paranoia," "Bad Vibrations" and "Bullfight." They seem to be going slightly back to their heavier metalcore roots, but they are still incorporating pop punk elements into their music as well.
2. Crobot - "Welcome to Fat City"
Crobot's "Welcome to Fat City" is set to be released on September 23, courtesy of Nuclear Blast Records. This will be the band's second studio album. The lead single off the album is entitled "Not for Sale." Crobot is still a fairly new band, but they have also gained quite a following with their interesting take on hard rock.
3. Giraffe Tongue Orchestra - "Broken Lines"
Giraffe Tongue Orchestra's "Broken Lines" is set to be released on September 23, courtesy of Party Smasher Inc. This will be the band's first studio album. Two singles have been released off the album: "Crucifixion" and "Blood Moon." This is a new and quite diverse supergroup that consists of William DuVall from Alice In Chains, Brent Hinds from Mastodon, Ben Weinman from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Thomas Pridgen from The Mars Volta and Peter Griffin from Dethklok.
4. Alter Bridge - "The Last Hero"
Alter Bridge's "The Last Hero" is set to be released on October 7, courtesy of their own record label in North America. This will be the band's fifth studio album. The lead single off the album is entitled "Show Me a Leader." Alter Bridge have been around for twelve years, ever since they formed from the ashes of Creed. Three of the four members of Creed are in Alter Bridge, with the exception of the lead singer.
5. Korn - "The Serenity of Suffering"
Korn's "The Serenity of Suffering" is set to be released on October 21, courtesy of Roadrunner Records. This will be the band's twelfth studio album. The lead single off the album is entitled "Rotting In Vain." Korn have been around for over 20 years now and they have released hits such as "Freak on a Leash," "Falling Away from Me" and "Coming Undone." This album just might be responsible for another hit song or two for the band.
