You know who they are, the “insta-famous” folks that make you feel terribly ordinary but for some reason you’re constantly finding yourself lurking through their pictures.

These people typically have thousands of followers... how they got to such a pinnacle? It’s an anomaly that us basic Instagram users will forever be envious of.

However, these people all have one thing in common: they live and breathe social media. In today’s world, Instagram is crucial. When to post, how often you post, how many likes you get, how many filters are acceptable to use on one photo, etc.

Now, let’s cover some of the categories of Instagram users that grace your newsfeed:

1. The Fitness Fanatic

His/her posts consist of: posing with supplements, protein powers, and blender bottles (You know, the shakers that normal people just drink water from), motivational quotes as their captions as if they're really going to motivate you to get out of bed and work out, gym selfies of their chiseled bodies with very little clothing on, and at the end of each post is the endless hashtags... which is probably how they acquired all of those followers in the first place.

2. The Smokin’ Hot Sorority Girl

She’s most likely blonde... or some version of it. She will usually only post a picture between the hours of 5-7 p.m. Every beach picture she posts includes her sorority hand sign, and if it’s not that, its an appreciation post for her “little” or her “big.” She probably uses at least 3 different photo editing apps... maybe 4. Her followers are comprised of her smokin’ sisters and frat daddies.

3. The Ab-tastic College Athlete

He/she has their sport, jersey numberor position in their bio. They really don’t post often but when they do it’s most likely a random action shot with an inspiring quote under it.

4. The Tree Hugging Hottie

She’s usually not wearing make up. In her pictures, you’ll find her positioned in some yoga pose on top of a mountain somewhere. Somehow, her hair always looks perfect. Other posts are of her insanely adorable dog that she rescued.

5. The Legendary Frat Star

Usually has some reference to Donald Trump in his bio. His photos are accompanied by a generic beer brand, a different girl for every date party and they’re never complete without a cigarette in hand.

The list could go on forever but for those of you in college, I think this just about sums it up!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
