Traveling is one of my favorite past times. I love airports and car rides and everything that goes into making a trip spectacular. I'm always excited to get where I'm going, and that helps me enjoy the journey more. I'm always looking forward to traveling. Road trips are a staple piece in my family. We've always taken advantage of any time we get to go on a road trip. Recently I've been flying a lot more, however, and I've compiled a list of must-have items that I never leave without, and you shouldn't either.
1. Portable Charger
So, If you haven't heard by now, phone batteries don't last very long. It's kinda a problem. But, have no fear, portable battery packs are the solution to that problem. Portable chargers are a life saver when all the outlets at the airport terminal are taken or when you're using your phone to play games on a long car ride. You don't want to be caught without a portable charger. It's definitely a must have.
2. Travel Journals
This is something I never leave without. A journal is the essential at all times. It's so easy to jot down quick thoughts and experiences while you're on your journey. Travel journals are also great for looking back and seeing all the cool places you visited and remembering all the cool things you did. I always have a journal with me, it's important for me to be able to remember little details of all the traveling I've done. One of my favorite things to do is sit add to my travel journal while I'm on a trip.
3. Polaroid Cameras
I love my polaroid. It is so fun to take pictures and have them developed right then and there. It's so fun to capture a moment and have a physical copy of the picture. These days, all our pictures are taken digitally, and sometimes I miss holding a actual picture in my hand. That's what makes polaroid cameras so special. Your memories are right in front of you.
4. Neck Pillow
This one I can't stress enough. When you're on your 5 hour plane ride, or you've been sitting in the car for hours on end, a neck pillow is a must. This has been a life saver for me on my long layovers. It seems like a no-brainer, like who could forget that, but promise me- you need this reminder. If you're like me, you pack the night before a big trip, and sometimes, it's the simplest stuff that you forget. Don't be like me. Remember your neck pillow.
5. Hand Sanitizer/Sanitizer Wipes
Okay, I know this is another no-brainer. But, it's one of the easiest things to forget. The last time I was in an airport, I realized I forgot my hand sanitizer and I freaked out. Again, don't be like me. Remember your sanitizer. There are soooo many germs in airports, and even on road trips, that this is a must have. You don't want to touch anything gross or catch anyone's germs while you're traveling.
So, there's the must-have list that I live by. My carry-on bag is always full of so many other things, but these are my trusty top 5's. I hope the next time you travel you gaze at my list, and remember everything you're forgetting! Have fun on your adventures!
