6 Things To Do With Your Mom When She Comes To Visit You At The U of A

As much as we love our moms, we can't take them out to our favorite frats or to pool parties when they come to visit. Coming up with things to do together may not be the easiest task, but here are a few options to consider when mom comes to town:

1. Go to a restaurant and finally get a decent meal.

After eating at the union or around campus for weeks on end, your mom will be able to take you out to eat at a place that's not Panda Express or Chic-Fil-A.

2. Get your nails, hair, eyebrows, etc. done.

You've felt like it's been ages since you have gotten a good manicure and your mom coming to town is the perfect opportunity to do some bonding while getting your appearance back together again.

3. Visit Mount Lemmon.

Taking your mom on a hike to Mount Lemmon is a great way to show her some of the beautiful views of Tucson while spending time together outdoors.

4. Go grocery shopping and restock your room.

By the time mom comes, your mini-fridge has probably become more than empty and her being here is the perfect time to replenish the lack of snacks in your dorm room.

5. Go shopping.

Shopping is a great way to catch up on your life away at college while also giving your wardrobe a very needed update.

6. Have her meet your new friends.

You know your mom is dying to see who you've met so far in college and if you introduce her to your new friends she'll probably look like this:

In the end, your mom is just happy to see you and wants nothing more than to spend time with you. Take advantage of her wanting to come down to Tucson and make the best of her trip and your time together!

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
