Being a Washinton Capitals fan is a lot of fun. However, you do have to deal with the envy of other fans hating on your team's successes. Here's five things every Capital's fan has probably heard once, twice or a dozen times:

1. “You only like them because they had the best record last regular season”

No...I’m actually from Maryland. 30 minutes from Washington, DC. They’re sorta my local team.

2. “I bet the only player you know is Ovechkin”

False. I could tell you about the entire roster if you’d like. Rookies, new draft picks, retired players. Just ask!

3. “T.J. Oshie is your favorite? It’s only because of his looks”

I can’t lie, Oshie is a babe. But he’s also a starting right winger, whose jersey number happens to be my lucky number, who is also a former Olympics hockey player, with a meeeeeean shootout record and a sick wrist shot. But I guess you’re right. I only like him for his looks.

4. “You know they’ve never won a Cup, right?”

Obviously the Caps haven’t won the Stanley Cup. Whether that’s a result of the supposed President's Trophy curse or a need for better defense...we’ll get there someday. We will continue to be a promising team every year; it just hasn’t been our time yet.

5. “Last season was the Capitals’ one chance at the Stanley Cup”

Keep telling yourself that, bud. But watch out, because these players have a lot of motivation driving them to the finals this year.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
