5 Things That Need To Stay In 2015
http://weknowyourdreams.com/new-year.html

2015 was an incredible year, filled with ups and downs, some moments we will never forget, and some moments we all wish never happened. It was a year of change for some, a year triumph for some, and a year of tragedy for others. All and all, 2015 was a big year, but there are some things that are not meant to continue into 2016. Here are a few things that just don't make the cut for the new year.

1. Self- doubt

It is time for us all to believe in ourselves a little bit more. Especially as a young woman I find that what brings me down the most is that little voice in my head telling me I can't do it. Ignore that bitch, you absolutely can do anything. 2016 should be the year of love, and to start, loving yourself. Stop hating on yourself in 2016 leave all the negative and self-hate in 2015 where it belongs.

2. Bad friends and toxic people

Anyone who causes you more harm than good does not deserve to be in your life for one more year. If there are people in your life who constantly bring you down or do nothing but make your life harder, leave them behind they do not deserve to be a part of your new year they really don't. Leave those bad friends and/or toxic people in the dust, it's a new year there is no room for those people.

3. Racism and sexism

Racism and sexism should have been left behind a long, long time ago, but we experienced a lot of racism in this country throughout 2015, and it NEEDS to end now. All forms of racism and sexism across all races, genders, and cultures are so unacceptable, and should not under any circumstance be tolerated in 2016. Let us end the pathetic acts of sexism and racism, they do not belong in our society and should most defiantly stay in 2015.

4. Hate and Violence

As I said before, 2016 should be a year of love. There is no need for hate in this world. I know it is naïve to hope that one day we will live in a hatless world, but we can start somewhere. Let's start with 2016, let's speak a little kinder to each other, lets treat each other a little better each and every day, let's stop the hate and spread the love, as cheesy as that may sound. Leave all your hate and negativity in 2015, 2016 is not going to tolerate it any longer.

I don't think I need to tell anyone that 2015 came along with a tremendous amount of violence and tragedy. This country and countries around the world have suffered from violence, innocent lives ended this year, and way too many of them at that. I know we live in a violent world, unfortunately, that may never change, but that doesn't mean we cannot try. Let's all join together and put an end to mass shootings, terrorist attacks, and just blatant violence in our very own backyards, it's time to end this era of violence, let's start in 2016.

5. The negative stigma around mental health

This country as a whole handles mental health issues very poorly in my opinion, but being on a college campus I have seen it first hand, there is an extremely negative stigma around mental health. That needs to end immediately. Mental health needs to be taken seriously, but, there is nothing wrong with having any sort of mental health issue. Battling with your own mind on a day to day basis is very, very hard, and there is no shame with it. Any bad stigma around mental health needs to disappear, leave all of that in 2015 where it belongs.

2015 was a great year, but a year that could use a couple changes. Let us all join together and make 2016 a better year. Let us eradicate hate, violence, and negativity. Leave these things behind in 2015 and 2016 will be a much better year.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
