Sometimes, as girls, we forget all our boyfriends do for us. Once a relationship has lasted an extended period of time, we begin to take certain things for granted. Following a recent visit from my boyfriend, I had the idea to ask, "Do I ever annoy you?". The answers, while surprisingly sweet, distilled a whole new appreciation for my boyfriend. Here are five:
1. Using his hairbrush and leaving all my long hairs in it.
Most of us have our own hairbrushes, but taking your boyfriends is so much more fun.
2. His food is my food.
Yes, I know I said I wasn't hungry. But then your food looked really good.
3. Any big, comfortable sweaters or shirts are now mine.
Every girl knows that there is nothing more comfortable than wearing your boyfriend's big shirt and no pants. Especially if you are long distance, having an item of clothing that belongs to your boyfriend is like having a part of them with you.
4. I expect a good morning text. A mid-afternoon check up. And so help me if you forget my goodnight text.
Is he home? Is he with his bros? Is that really his mom?
5. Distracting him and them complaining as to why his work is taking so long.
For when you really just want love and attention. You want him to finish whatever he is doing only so you can get more attention, but you don't want to wait that long.
