Being in college has its perks and drawbacks. A perk being more freedom and a drawback can be a loss of sleep. With us running on a few hours of sleep, we can get annoyed pretty easily by almost anyone or anything. Here are five things that definitely grind all of our gears:
1. Being chronically late to class
Being late once or twice is fine because it happens to everyone. Being chronically late is a whole other story. It is extremely annoying to hear that door open and close. You are also disrupting the class in the swing of things. It throws off some people's concentration and it leaves them feeling annoyed that they can't focus anymore. At least try to be quiet instead of slamming the door.
2. Standing in the middle of the walkway
Other people have to get to class and you standing in the middle of the walkway is not helping. Move out the way and stand to the side. Some people are trying to finish their day up fast.
3. Complaining about something, yet doing nothing about it
If you want something to change, either give a suggestion or leave me alone. I hate it when people are complaining about something, yet will not do anything about it. Yes, I understand your pain, but unless you give an idea of how to make it better, shut up about it.
4. Not taking care of equipment or rooms
The school pays for certain items for students to use. If there is a misfit bunch that decides to destroy stuff or not take care of it properly, then obviously the school is not going to give it back to us.
5. Constantly switching seats
You sit in one seat at the beginning of the semester. If you want to change it, then that is fine. However, DO NOT STEAL SOMEONE'S SEAT! I am sure there are other empty chairs in the classroom, I picked that seat for a reason so don't take it. If you are moving to sit with a friend, then you guys find TWO empty spots. It annoys me to no great end to find out I need another seat. I am in the middle because I do not like being close to the board, but I still need to be somewhat close because I have horrible vision. Have some courtesy.
