When it comes to first impressions, people tend to always think that introverts are shy, stuck up, angry. No, we don't hate people but we are always scared to approach just because of how our face looks. Seriously, if you come over to talk we'll respond. Intimidated? Don't worry. We won't bite if you treat us nicely. And besides, we're more of the read the crowd and observe type.
1. When it Comes to Hanging Out.
Making excuses such as, "I'd love to hangout with you today but there's something important I have to do." Not saying that we hate hanging out with our friends. When we make excuses, it doesn't mean we hate going out. It just means that we aren't in the mood to go out and need some alone time for ourselves. Please don't give up on continuing to ask us out! Keep asking us to hangout because it makes us happy to know someone wants to spend time with us.
2. Thinking Too Much.
Listening to a friend's conversation but then you start spacing out because you're thinking about a billion other things at the same time. Of course we're good listeners! However, we still think more than we speak. Because we worry and think too much it may take a while to process the information we've heard, or we may need to have the person repeat what they've said. And we don't mean to be rude or anything, but sometimes our thought process takes us into our own little world of overthinking and wild imaginations.
3. Enjoy Being Alone.
Admit it! You know that you'd rather be wrapped up in a nice warm blanket at home on your laptop or reading a book. And as you're doing that you're probably blogging, watching anime or k-dramas, or gaming. As you may or may not know, introverts recharge their energy by spending more time alone as opposed to the extrovert who recharges energy by being surrounded by many people. The truth is we are bored in crowds, but not at home!
4. Socializing.
Talking to people in a large group is generally very tiring and overwhelming, but when it comes to one-on-one conversations, and fewer people, then we are able to open up more. Talking to a person one-on-one is the best because we get to know the person on a deeper level, and also feel more comfortable showing our true personalities to them. We don't need lots of friends to be happy. When it comes to making friends, we choose carefully and value having close friendships. Introverts may appear quiet and boring on the outer shell, but when you come to know them they are the most fun and exciting people you'll ever meet!
5. Problems.
We'd rather deal with the problem ourselves because we don't want to bother our friends or family about it, but having that one close friend or two that we can trust to talk to about our problems, means the world to us.
