We all know someone who literally just loves to sleep… or maybe we are that person. I know that sleeping is personally one of my favorite things to do. I honestly think that the world would be a better place if everyone got more sleep and could take naps during the day! Here are some struggles for people like me, who just LOVE to sleep:
1. You can sleep for what seems like DAYS.
Most nights I don’t get enough sleep because being a college student, I’m up late doing assignments and I wake up early for classes. But, there are days when I don’t have to do a single thing, and sometimes I sleep the entire day. I think the most I have ever slept for a consecutive amount of time was 14 ½ hours.
2. You plan out your naps for the day.
When I wake up in the morning, one of the first things that comes to my mind is “What time will I be able to nap today?” “How long of a nap can I take?” “Can I take MORE than one nap?” It’s very time consuming to calculate the exact time you need to fall asleep to get that 14 minute nap in.
3. And when you don’t have time to nap it's tragic.
I hate those days where I’m so busy the entire day that I literally have no time anywhere to take a nap. It makes me not only sad, but I become grumpy and tired! Trust me, it’s better for YOU if I take a nap.
4. People always make the comments “You never do anything but sleep”.
Well yeah, they are right. But why not do something that you love? I mean, it could be worse. I could be out on the streets doing drugs or committing crimes, but instead, I’m snuggled up in my bed snoozing away.
5. Waking up not knowing what year it is.
Sometimes I wake up from a nap and my brain is in shambles. I literally have no sense of time. Did I sleep for an hour? Did I sleep for six hours? Maybe I was asleep for three days? What if I slept for five years!? No idea.
If you found yourself relating to any of these struggles, then you are probably a person who loves to sleep! Don’t let anyone talk you out of that third nap today or them saying you don’t have time for a three hour nap. You can do anything you put your mind to! We might have these struggles as a person who loves sleeping, but in the end when our head hits that pillow… we probably won’t remember what they said anyways because sleeping is way more important that listening to people complain.
