Another New York City Comic Con has come and gone and it's was another fun year running around spending money, meeting some of our favorite stars and taking look at everyone in their costumes. So now let's take a look at what the steps are to recovering from the hustle and bustle of NYCCC.
1. Soak In All Your New Things (this isn't half of what I bought)
Between waiting in line for all the autographs and then walking about buying things on the show floor (and how busy it gets) you never really get to look over the and enjoy the things you bought. So when you get home you empty out all your things and take a look over all of them and really get to enjoy them!
2. Trying To Get Everything Home Safe
You just spent all that money and most likely you are from out of town and the one thing you forget to think about is: "How the heck am I getting this all home on a bus and in one piece?" You spend half the time packing up and wrapping everything, and placing them in a bag just right so they lay perfect and won't break or bend.
Between the hotel, the autographs, and things on the show floor and then all the food and drink you need to make it through your day, you finally get home and check the damage. You then realize that you have to spend the next year selling your soul to your job just to make up for what you spent in the period of two days that took you months to save up.
4. Rest
Though Comic Con may seem like a break from all other things, it can be very very tiring - it's a long day on your feet and standing in lines and carrying very large bags around. Though at the time its all fun and games, when you finally get back to your home and see your bed you want rest for days.
5. Back to Real Life
The recovery time is over; you spent all the money and got all the stuff home safe, you rested up and now it's time to go back to work and pay real-life bills, and all you have is the memories of Comic Con until next year rolls around.
Comic Con was great this year and I'm glad I made the choice to go, but I am not looking forward to paying off all the bills that are to come from the weekend at con.
