It’s happened to most everyone. It’s the beginning of the semester, you’re going about your business and you walk into class and BAM! The (possible) love of your life is sitting there in all his/her glory. Your crush may make it hard to focus, but they do make it easy to go to class. If you’ve been there, you’ll recognize the five stages of having a class crush.
1. The puppy dog stage (or when you stare at them hopelessly for a few classes).
2. The bust-a-move stage (also known as "getting the courage to speak to them").
3. The jealousy stage (we may not be dating, but don't flirt with them in class).
4. The moving on up stage (GETTING THE DIGITS…I mean, it’s for class, though, soooo).
5. The final chapter stage (it’s the week before finals and this is a Gen Ed. Bye, my love).
Of course, a week later, you’re all like:
And ready to start over with a new class crush.
