Friends are essential in everyone's life. They are essential to growing up, and they are needed in the entirety of our lives. We typically make many friends during our lifetime. We have friends that represent each stage in our lives. For myself personally, friends came and went with each stage of my life. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was just how life went. At some point in life, you find your forever friends. You meet people that you just know will be your best friends for the rest of your life. When you find these friends, a few things stick out to you.

1. You find yourself texting them often.

This may seem obvious, but you are texting your friends all of the time. If you aren't texting, then you are sending snapchats to each other. They are the people you constantly update about your day and vice versa. You never get tired of them.

2. You can be completely weird around them.

The best part is that they do not judge you for it. In fact, they are being weird with you. It totally is not strange if you are speaking to each other in weird voices. Sometimes you start dancing around like a maniac, and they dance with you.

3. They aren't afraid to tell you the truth.

They are not afraid to tell you the ugly truth. They will not lie to you or backstab you. If you start dating a guy and they know he isn't a good guy, they will tell you and offer help as you recover from the disappointing news. You will never have to worry about a dishonest or insincere opinion.

4. You constantly do things spontaneously.

It is so much fun when you have friends that you act on spontaneity with. I love when we don't make plans and we just decide to go somewhere.

5. They are there for you no matter what.

They will seriously do anything for you. They will be there when you achieve a life goal and when you are upset and need some support. I am thankful to have found such amazing friends that I can laugh and cry with. I am so glad to have the best friends in the entire world!

When I was a child, I used to look forward to Memorial Day Weekend from the time I returned to school after Christmas vacation. I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.

When we think of events that have transpired in the US over the last few years, a lot of it ends up in spotlighting the division in the country. However, things across the pond seem to be no better - at least when it comes to sports.
