There's the never ending debate, are dogs or cats better? Everyone has their different opinions and reasons why they may like one more than the other; however, you'll know if you're a dog person or a cat person. Each animal comes with its own good qualities, and, unfortunately, they have their drawbacks at times.
Regardless of what they do, we can't help but love our furry four-legged friends. Dogs come in all sizes, shapes, and colors; yet, they all share some characteristics that make us love them.
1. You find hair EVERYWHERE.
Maybe you don't realize how much your dog sheds, but they probably do, at least to some degree. I'm sure there are occasions where you don't know that you're covered in dog hair until you've already left your house. You may look at something and have absolutely no clue how dog hair got on that, but it somehow did.
2. Begging doesn't bother you.
Our canine friends love to eat, especially whatever we are having. They sit there and stare intently as you eat whatever food you have, just waiting for you to drop something or share with them. Occasionally, there may even be drool coming out of their mouths as they beg for a little bit of a treat, but none of that fazes you anymore.
3. You can't stay mad at them.
No matter what bad thing they did, you just can't seem to stay mad at a dog. From stepping on your feet to having an accident in the house to eating a hole in the wall, one look with those sad puppy dog eyes and a few kisses, they're home free. They may get disciplined, but you are quick to forgive because how could you stay mad at something so cute?
4. You like dogs more than people.
You're the one who cries when a dog dies in a movie, but not when a person in a movie does. You'd rather sit in the floor and play with a dog than socialize with people. You'll want to go say hi to a dog whenever you see one in public, but want to avoid awkwardly saying hi to someone you barely know.
5. You don't want it any other way.
Sure, dogs may stink sometimes. They can be a little destructive at times, too. But honestly, you can't imagine not having and not loving dogs. They're always so happy to see you, and they love you unconditionally. You can't find many people who are as loving and as loyal as your dog. They're your best friends.
