There are a lot of people that say there are no more good cartoons out there. However, there are a lot of that disagree. Here are five cartoons that premiered either this year or last year that show there are still good cartoons being made.
1. "Camp WWE"
"Camp WWE" is an adult animated series that premiered this year on the WWE Network and it constantly stresses the fact that it is not meant for kids, despite the fact that the majority of the cast is made up of eight-year-old depictions of WWE superstars. You don't necessarily have to be a fan of wrestling to enjoy this show. There are some jokes that only wrestling fans will understand, but it can still be enjoyable for those who don't watch wrestling. Unfortunately, the series has only produced five episodes so far and they're all available on the WWE Network. If you're not subscribed to that, they're probably online somewhere.
2. "Harvey Beaks"
"Harvey Beaks" is a fun and colorful show that premiered on Nickelodeon last year and is currently on its second season. "Harvey Beaks" was created by C.H. Greenblatt, the creator of the Cartoon Network series, "Chowder." The two shows are a bit similar in art style and character designs. However, this show has a bit more emotion to it. It's not really story-driven like "Adventure Time" or "Steven Universe," but it still has good morals in some episodes and characters you can really connect with.
3. "The Loud House"
"The Loud House" is a funny cartoon that premiered on Nickelodeon this year. It follows the life of Lincoln Loud, a middle child who has 10 sisters. As someone who has 11 siblings, despite all but one being a half-sibling and very large age gaps between many of us, I can relate to this show a little bit. Not to mention, the art style being used is pretty unique seeing as how it's going for a newspaper comic style.
4. "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir"
"Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir" is a cartoon that premiered last year and was originally produced in France. It airs on Nickelodeon here in the United States and even though the entire first season hasn't been aired on TV in America yet, it has in South Korea and the whole English dub of the series is available online. It's an enjoyable superhero cartoon that seems to be aimed more toward the female demographic, but it can be enjoyable for males too.
5. "We Bare Bears"
Finally, we have my personal favorite out of the bunch. "We Bare Bears" premiered on Cartoon Network mid-last year. It was a cartoon that I personally didn't know what to expect from at first. However, once I saw it, I immediately fell in love with it. The three bears are very relate-able and quite humorous as well. This is definitely the best cartoon that premiered last year in my opinion.
I hope you all enjoyed this list and maybe I even helped you find something new to binge watch.
