5 Reasons Why You Need to Watch Scream Queens NOW
The Kind

Until recently, I lived under a rock. I had NO idea what Scream Queens was, until my best friend Peyton gave me her Hulu password and insisted I binge watch. Remember Emma Roberts? I mean how could you not, she was our lifeline on Nickelodeon's show Unfabulous circa 2004. Well, now she plays Chanel Oberlin and is even more relatable than ever. Scream Queens is a mix of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars--but like when PLL was actually good. In a nutshell, there is a serial killer running around Wallace University, and targeting the sorority Kappa Kappa Tau. Season two of SQ premiered tonight and I am just as hooked as when I saw the first episode. Nonetheless, here are all of the reasons you need to start watching Scream Queens like, yesterday.

1. Chanel Oberlin is EVERYTHING

Although Chanel is the most EXTRA human in the world, her one liners never fail to make me laugh. She is the president of Kappa Kappa Tau, Kappa for short, and never lets anyone forget that she is. She is so ridiculous, but I applaud her for her creative one liners. She is super hot, super rich, and tells you exactly what's on her mind. If you ever need an insult definitely check out her insult generator:

2. Season One Boys

Okay hello, seeing Nick Jonas shirtless every other episode???? You really can't beat that!!! Glen Powell (top right) is also another hot commodity. He's Chanel's crazy off and on again boyfriend. The other two are average at best, but you can't deny season one had some EYE CANDY!!!!!

3. Season Two Boys

I know we are only one episode into season two, but John Stamos and Taylor Lautner? Come on Fox, as if I already didn't have enough reason to watch the show. I was so excited when I saw that they will be featured this season, let's just hope that they actually stay..

4.The Fashion Statements

Enough about the boys, back to the main stars. And nope, these are not special occasion outfits. These are the types of outfits that the Chanels wear in every episode. Honestly, I wish over-the-top fashion like this wasn't tacky as hell because I'd ~rock a pink fur coat~

5. The Suspense

Like I said in the beginning, in this show there is someone committing mass murder at the Kappa house. There is a lot of suspense throughout the show, and not gonna lie, there was some nights after late night bingeing I would be scared to go to sleep. Some of the scenes get pretty gory, and the director is NOT afraid to kill off a main character.

Scream Queens is by far the most absurd and over the top show, but never fails to make me laugh with the over the top characters. If you haven't started watching it, it's not too late to catch up to season two!!! Get a hulu, illegally download it, buy it on amazon, or SOMETHING because you need this show in your life stat! While you guys are catching up, I'll be impatiently waiting a whole long, antagonizing week for a new episode.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
