You ever have that awkward train ride where you just feel uncomfortable the entire time after noticing what goes on around you? That’s me almost every other day.
- You get on the train and you sit down towards the door, and you decide to pull up your favorite game and start playing on your phone. The next stop, a guy gets on and decides to stand right next to where you’re sitting and what does he do? He watches you play your game and decides to feel the unnecessary need to make comments as to why you’re playing it that way and why you chose to use that move? AWKWARD!
- If you’re feeling tired and you want to just rest and close your eyes for a moment or two, watch out because the second you wake up, people will feel the need to stare at you with googley eyes! That’s super awkward to wake up to that’s for sure!
- Then, there’s that one random dude that decides to just walk up and down the train pacing himself back and forth. Why? Good question! It’s awkward because you never know what to expect, whether the guy is angry and is going to act out on a random individual or if he’s just conflicted and decided that pacing in a crowded cart would be the best thing for him to do.
- Also, eating Halal food or McDonald’s in a crowded cart isn’t that great a thing to do either. I understand that type of food is delicious, I love it too, but in a crowded train where there’s barely enough oxygen to breathe, the strong smell of that food doesn’t make it any better, especially for us people who have a tendency to feel nauseous on crowded trains.
- The most awkward of all in my opinion of what happens on the train is when people decide that it is completely and utterly normal to cut your nails on the train. People are around everywhere in the train cart, and cutting nails is not something that people want to hear being clipped, or feel as they get hit by that nail. It’s definitely not normal and it should be quite known that the train cart is not a bathroom, nor should it ever be looked upon as one.
Now that you know all this awkwardness that goes on, be prepared to experience it when taking the train. Taking the train may possibly be the best form of transportation, but it can put you in awkward situations that can make you feel quite uncomfortable!
