As young adults, we need excitement, change, and different things to do and experience. Well, there is one place that’s always a good place to go. It is known as the city that never sleeps, the city of bright lights, a place that can fulfill your wildest dreams, and is also known as the Big Apple. It is called New York City, ladies and gentlemen.

It’s a place of great wonders. It is known as the largest city in the U.S. and has everything to offer to visitors like you and me. It is filled with attractions, amazing views, and interesting people. It is something you’ve never experienced before. There is always something or somewhere new to visit every time you go. You may say the city is a waste of time and money; however, there are five amazing reasons as to why you should visit one of the greatest cities our country has to offer.

1. The History Behind it All.

New York City has some of the best museums you could ever possibly visit. This city is enriched in history in every step you take. You can visit historic monuments such as Carnegie Hall, the Chrysler Building, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Modern Art, and so much more. You can learn so much just by visiting this amazing place of where a lot of our history has mostly began.

2. The Sights/Attractions.

Everywhere you look, you get to see new things, and of course new people since the population of NYC is more than 8 million people and growing, you may not see on a regular basis. You will get to see such iconic sights of places such as Grand Central Terminal, NY Public Library, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Times Square, and so much more. You can go to Broadway shows, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, 9/11 Memorial and even visit Rockefeller Center. It truly is amazing.

3. The Places to Eat.

New York City has so many big and little restaurants to stop and eat at. You can eat at places Applebee’s, Panera, Red Lobster, Hard Rock Café, Five Guys, even Burger King and McDonalds or little restaurants/food places or restaurants you may have never heard of before. You name it, or try to name it. I bet New York City has it somewhere. It has all sorts of food varieties as well, whether it be Italian, seafood, Mexican, anything. You can visit Little Italy or Chinatown as well to try and get the full experience as if you were half way across the world.

4. Shopping!

On every street there are little or big shops to go to. There are all sorts of places to shop. You can shop at your normal name brand clothing stores like Forever 21, American Eagle, or Macys, you can go to the Disney store, and you can go to M&M World, or the Hershey store. There is so many places to shop that it’s truly unbelievable.

5. It’s A Little Bit of Everything.

There is honestly so much you can do in the great city of New York. So many places to travel to, so many things to see, so many places to go. It is NEVER a dull moment. You can create such great opportunities for yourself when you visit this amazing city. There are new experiences down every street, literally. It opens your eyes and can even change you. Yeah it might be a long haul to get there, yeah it may be expensive, but what is cheap nowadays? Yeah it involves a lot of walking unless you understand the subway/metro. But in the end, the trip is worth it. It will leave you wanting to come back at every chance that you can.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
