If you take a look around, there’s a pretty good chance a lot of the people surrounding you are falling into the trap of “cuffing season.”
College campuses are especially filled with cheerful couples during this time of the year, and you either love or hate to see it. Before you know it, the holidays arrive and yet you're still single, but that does not have to be a bad thing.
Whether you are one those who are tied down or are rocking the single life, there are plenty of solid reasons “No Boy November” doesn’t need to last for just 30 days.
1. Who wants to buy more Christmas gifts than necessary?
You already have to shop for all of your family members, and you’re involved with 3 different secret Santa’s, so you are doing yourself a favor by saving more money by not having a boy this month.
2. There’s a huge Christmas break.

If you met your honey at college, there's a slight possibility you do not live anywhere near each other. Thus, during the month of December you will barely ever see them. Christmas break for the majority of college students lasts through the whole month and into the new year and you won’t get to spend that much time together anyway. Unless of course you really want to travel a world away to see them.
3. It’s way too cold.

Yes, you see that couple on your Instagram who went ice skating down town, but what you didn’t know is it was -20° at the time. Cute Christmas activities are well, cute, but do you really want to freeze to death doing them? Might as well stay indoors where you can feel your hands and feet.
4. Finals season.

The period between thanksgiving and Christmas break for college students is literally the worst. Finals are the only thing on our mind, and making sure we can go home and brag about our GPA's is essential. It isn't worth sacrificing crucial studying time, is it?
5. Holidays are better spent with your family.

This can also include your close friends too, but December is a great time to catch up on all the lost time you’ve had away at college. All of your high schools friends are home, and it may be the first time you’ve seriously got to spend with them and somebody members of your family. It’s a time to cherish your love and appreciation for them.
