As we journey through the world of "adulting," some of us will have been lucky enough to earn a managerial position, whether it is a supervisor or a manager. While we experience a whole new world being in charge sometimes we are assigned to having our "assistant manager" or our "co-supervisor." Now this is a very scary idea sometimes, in order to run a business or specific section of your work, there has to be a flow or a connection of some sort.

This person becomes your partner-in-crime.

Sometimes you might not get so lucky and you just tolerate the ones you work with, and if you had ever experienced that, You have my apologies. I've been a supervisor for three seasons and within three years I have had nine co-supervisors, but one has stood out in particular. I have loved every single person that I have worked with, but It was this past season that has taught me what it is like to have a great friendship and flow with your co or for others maybe your assistant.

1. You automatically accept them.

This moment is like when you're assigned a lab partner or you're in a class full of people you're unfamiliar with and you're about to do group work. Here's the thought process, you don't want to do all the work but you want to have fun doing it; but deep inside you feel as though this assignment might not end well. Then! A miracle comes about, you receive notification of who your other half will be and you think, "Hmmm, this might not be bad after all!"

2. As opposites, you attract.

She's crazy and loud and you're calm ready to get down to business. On the other hand, outside of the workplace she has the ability to make someone cry with her words and you don't hesitate to throw someone down. Altogether, though you and your other half are polar opposites, the flow you create is impeccable.

3. You argue as to who is going to sign the paperwork or just do the most work.

As a pairing, it is fantastic as to what can come about when you have a natural connection and flow between one another, but when you're both overachievers, that is when some bickering can begin. But don't get it wrong, some bickering can be great! This shows that you both care immensely for your work and you're always willing to help each other out.

4. You create your own fun at work.

Whether it is hiding in particular places to scare your employees / team members, chasing each other down a walkway, or racing to answer the phone...it is all fun and games! And if you make the guests and customers laugh, it is all worth it.

5. No one else understands your Co or assistant like you do.

They talk a lot

There's no filter

They are LOUD

Other's may ask, "Why is she like that?" and you respond with, "Eh, that's just her." And you just sit there unfazed as to what your Co / assistant did.

And that's how you know you've found the perfect co or assistant, you're one in the same and you've created a bond that others thrive to have. So to the brains behind the operations, I thank you for giving me my Soulmate Co.

Cheers to you, Kendra!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
