Ladies listen up! You know that gift that keeps on giving every month?

It comes in a little red box and inside is a bunch of goodies. Cramps, bloating, back aches, fatigue, moodiness and a whole lot of other stuff. Okay, Okay I'm sure you've guessed by now that I'm talking about your period. Twitter pages and memes are dedicated in describing the struggles women feel when their time of the month comes. Well I'm here to tell you that despite the side affects we feel during that time of the month; it's a blessing to have it. Here are 5 reasons why you should appreciate your period.

1. Natural pregnancy test.

I've seen memes that make fun of the uterine lining having to shed once every month to remind women that their not pregnant every month. The cramps come and then...boom!..blood comes out. It's a physical reminder that a sperm and egg did not unite inside you. Can you imagine if we didn't have our period every month? How would we be able to tell whether or not we had a "food baby" or an actual baby?

2. Cravings.

You can indulge in all the food you've been wanting to eat for so long! Whether it's chocolate or cheese or both chocolate and cheese; you'll be satisfied. It's a nice present to all the other side effects that may happen to you as you're on your period.

3. Bowel movement.

Okay, I know this might be a gross reason at first...but it's quite beneficial if you look at the positive side of it. If you've been experiencing constipation in your intestines for a while, because you're not getting the proper nutrients in ya system, then your period is here to save you! The first few days of your cycle and the "waste train" is ready to leave your body.

4. Chilling.

Some of us experience cramps and bloating which makes us feel tired and not willing to socialize as much. Well that's fine, because instead of socializing you can just relax in your room and watch Netflix, Hulu or whatever tv streaming device you use. You can cozy up in your bed, sipping a hot drink, and chill in your blanket---all while watching you're favorite programs.

5. It's "periodical."

No pun intended. You're period is only 5-7 days a month; some women have it on the shorter end and other women have it on the longer end. So it only happens for a little while, once a month. Before you know it, it's over!

Well that's my 5 reasons as to why it's an amazing experience to have your period (I'm exaggerating a bit here). Share your reasons below in the comment section.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
