Of course, being a girl in a world full of social media and celebrity obsessions I have heard about the importance of "self-love." However, as the older I got the more I learned what this thing self-love was all about. All self-love is LOVING yourself. I know that this can be a lot harder said than done, but fortunately, there is beauty within self-love when practiced and accomplished. Self-love can in the end only improve your self-esteem, relationships with others, and create a healthier lifestyle. Loving who you are created to be is something we all need to strive for. This can be achieved by...

1. Surrounding yourself with a group of people who are there to be encouraging and supportive friends, that old saying "who you surround yourself with is who you become" is 100% true and it's a little scary.

2. Overcoming that perfectionist side in you. Let go of the things you cannot control and focus on what you are doing at the moment, look at all the things you have accomplished!

3. Offers a less stressful life and can possibly result in having less anxiety. Loving yourself can only benefit your mental health! Having a mindful attitude can show you what is important to you.

4. Becoming more optimistic! When you feel comfortable with who you are, you are willing to take more risks and go on adventures.

5. Creating a more healthy and balanced lifestyle. Being confident in who you are opens countless opportunities for each day.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
