As Penn Staters, we all love football season. It’s hands down the best time of the year, especially when we have a season like this year.

Our beloved Nittany Lions have been killing the game and breaking records like no other. So far, we’ve beaten Pitt, won against the Hawkeyes in an extremely tough environment, and for the first time this century we climbed our way to a #2 ranking in the AP College Football Poll.

This week’s game will be against the school we all love to hate, Ohio State. We have finally reached that time of the year where you’ll hear students chant some rather vulgar chants to intimidate those dreadful buckeyes.

Let's be real, We are better than Ohio State and here are just a few of the many reasons why:

1. We have the best student section for football in the country.

If you don’t believe it’s true, Ohio State alum and ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit ranked Penn State as the #1 student section himself.

2. Our beloved Nittany Lion mascot outshines the rest, especially a mascot that’s a nut.

First of all, who came up with the great idea to create a mascot based off of a nut? Is that supposed to be incredibly intimidating or something? Also, Ohio State’s Buckeye can’t compete with our Nittany Lion’s great dance moves. Our Nittany Lion always knows how to entertain a crowd.

3. Penn State beat Ohio State last year 24-21!

Any Penn State fan will never be able to forget this iconic moment. Not to mention Penn State fans stormed the field.

4. Ohio State’s football coach Urban Meyer admitted that Penn State should have been in the playoffs.

After winning the B10 Championship, Penn State headed to the Rosebowl to play one of the best games in college football history. Ohio State, on the other hand, got completely shut out by Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl.

5. No football coach can claim as many victories as JoePa did during his time at Penn State.

Under his reign, Penn State football won a total of 409 games. There’s clearly no competition here.
