Summer is a time to look back upon childhood memories as well as create new ones. Now that summer is in full swing, you are probably wondering what you should do with all of your free time. Get off your phone and enjoy some of these things that will remind you of the good ol' days.

1. Make a photo album

Any 90s baby knows that there is nothing like flipping through an old photo album with pictures from your childhood. Why not continue this tradition by making a photo album for summer 2016? I recently made a photo album and realized how fun, easy and cheap it is. You can even mix the new with the old with this cool Instagram photo book. Your 35-year-old self will thank you when you are looking back fondly at your college memories some day.

2. Get your photographs printed

With the popularity of Instagram and Facebook, nobody gets their photographs printed these days. Take a bunch of photos this summer not just for the purpose of posting them on social media. Stop at your local CVS and you can get a ton of pictures printed for under $10. Hey, you could even go really old school and take photographs with a disposable camera or a Polaroid.

3. Go to the drive-in

Who doesn't love seeing a movie at the drive-in on a warm, summer night? Surprisingly, there are still many drive-in movie theaters open or places that show outdoor movies during the summer. Get together with friends or your significant other to cuddle up in the bed of your truck and watch a movie. My favorite is the Wellfleet Drive-In in Cape Cod, MA or the outdoor movies shown at Lawn on D in South Boston.

4. Make a summer mixtape

Running out of room on your phone for music and don't want to pay for Spotify Premium? Channel your inner 90s teen and burn your favorite summer songs on a CD to play in your car. One day you'll find the CD and all of the songs will remind you of summer 2016!

5. Have a picnic

Instead of spending money to go out to eat, grab some food at home and get together with friends or family for a picnic in the park or at the beach. This is a fun way to catch up and enjoy the fresh air. You could even bring a grill and have a barbecue in the park!

The wise Andy Bernard from The Office once said, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them." Luckily, there are ways to channel "the good old days" when you have actually left them. Writing this made me feel nostalgic about my childhood and wish there was a way for me to go back. Hopefully, you will take these ideas into consideration this summer and they will bring you back to "the good old days". And then, you will make today the "good old days"–if that makes any sense.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
