If you are like me, and will spend your spring break at home rather than hitting up the beach with your 50 closest sorority sisters, here are five things you can do to make it suck less.
1. Catch up with high school friends.
While you might not have stayed in the best of touch with them since graduation, see what they are up to and hit up some old hangout spots.
2. Visit (party) with your friends at other colleges.
If you have friends at in-state or close by schools, use the week to see what their party scene is like!
3. Look for a summer job!
You have the early bird advantage, here. The sooner you get a job lined up, the sooner you can start saving for next spring break. Cancun SB2K16?
4. Pig out.
Since you don't have to worry about a spring break beach bod, pig out at all your favorite local restaurants! I will be hitting up Uncle Julio's as soon as I get off the plane!
5. Most importantly, spend as much time with your family as you can.
While being at home can seem lame when your Instagram feed is full of cute beach pictures, trust me -- it is not! Take advantage of your mom's homemade cooking, spend time with your siblings, or have brunch with your dad. You may not realize how much you miss them until you are back home.
