Fall is more than just getting Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Halloween. Autumn is the time to dust off the box with cardigans, sweaters, vests, tights, scarves, and boots.

As the weather changes throughout the year, so does our style. Staying current in fashion and trends can be a hassle, to be honest who has the time? Also, who has the money to constantly buy new clothes as winter turns into spring and spring into summer? September is a month that transitions our shiny warm days into our chilly sunny season, autumn. Fortunately there are articles of clothing people wear in the summer that can be used in creating the trendy fashion forward look this fall.

PANTONE"S chosen Fall 2016 Color Report

5 Summer items to use in Fall 2016

1. Basic white tank / Crop Tops

Match a white tank with a blazer to complete an effortless sophisticated look.

Yes, its not summer but its still not time to forget about the crop tops. Just don't forget to put on a baggy cardigan to stay warm .

2. High waisted / Short - shorts / Skirts.

The last thing any girl would want to do is to pack away the shorts and skirts for the colder days. Instead put tights on underneath that coordinates with boots.

Matching a sweater with your shorts keeps you warm but adds something different to your everyday look.

3. Short Summer Dresses

Worried you won't get to wear those bright summer dresses still hanging in the closet? Add a blazer or a cardigan to "fall" it up.

Even though a dress may be floral or have crazy patterns it still works in the Fall just by adding the right colors. Having the tights and booties compliments the dress with or without a jacket.

4. The flannel you stole from that guy's house

Every girl needs flannel this Fall. Plaid is on the rise as it can be worn in everyday looks or with your business casual attire. Don't forget to add your own summer flare showing off the legs.

5. Bright Colored Tights

That's right! Bright colored tights is a current trend that makes any fan outfit pop. coordinating the right colors with each other creates the fun aesthetic seen in Fashion.

Author's Fall 2016 Item of choice

I am currently in love with defining a outfit with any Bowler / Small Brim hat. One simple accessory that separates you from the average girl on the sidewalk. Planning on adding a hat to the outfit cuts the stress of worrying about styling hair.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
