1. Hydrate before and during.
All that Turkey and eggnog make you want to pass out, but simply drinking water will help keep you awake and energized.
2. Wear sneakers.
If you want to get ahead of all the other shoppers (literally), wearing the right shoes will help keep you comfortable and ready for whatever limited item sales there are.
3. Research.
If you really want to know if going to that store will be worth the trip then research online what deals they will have and look for coupons for even bigger savings. Even though it says 70% off, check to see if the price is different from a month ago.
4. Choose your battles wisely.
Keep your dignity and don’t fight over the last pillow pet with a 5-year-old girl.
5. Make a list and stick to it.
Don't buy the "on sale" $70 light up Christmas sweater... You'll only wear it once. Your list will make it quicker and easier for you and your friends to get the job done and get home.
6. Don't take anything personally.
No one is out to get you, they're just really into finding good prices. So don't get offended when someone pushes you, just be thankful you have better things to worry about.
7. Dodge the crazies.
They will turn you into one of them... So don't get in their way. You'll never come out of the store the same.
8. Make a budget.
If you can’t control your spending, give your friends your wallet. You'll find that impulse buying is the worst thing you can do.
9. Stay in the spirit of Christmas.
Play Christmas music while driving between stores or wear Santa hats... Remind yourself and others what this time of year is really about... PRESENTS.
10. Consider not going at all and spending time with your family!
Never underestimate the time you have with your family. Don't be the person in 10 years that looks back and wishes they had more time all together. Cherish those moments.
