Some shows and TV channels seem to be geared more toward mothers than college students, but some of these shows might actually be great for young adults as well. Below are five shows that your mom probably loves and that you just might too.
5. "House Hunters International"
Even though HGTV is not the go-to channel for most college students, it actually has many great shows. "House Hunters International" is a way to see other countries and their cultures. Parents watch this show to see other parts of the world and young adults can too.
4. "Desperate Housewives"
"Desperate Housewives" ended in 2012, but it is still a classic "mom show." Full of drama and mystery, this series always leaves the women at home anxiously awaiting the next episode. The series is still on many Internet streaming sites, so do yourself a favor and watch a bunch of housewives deal with murder, their husbands, and scandal.
3. "Days of our Lives"
Do not get me wrong, soap operas are silly, but "Days of our Lives" has been around since 1965, so it obviously has to be somewhat appealing. Moms have been watching this show for decades and I do not blame them. There is endless juicy gossip and plenty of scandals to entertain the viewers.
2. "The Dr. Oz Show"
Dr. Oz may be the favorite show for many of the moms out there because of his attractiveness, but it can actually be a very beneficial show for young adults. This show educates viewers of any age on ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle. From food tips to exercising, this talk show can teach college students a lot about their health.
1. "Chopped"
Food Network shows are always great, no matter the age of the viewer. "Chopped" is a competition cooking show that will leave anyone on the edge of their seat. Parents like this show because it shows them unique recipes, but, as a 19-year-old, I simply enjoy watching people think on their feet and hearing "you're chopped."
