In my short 21 years of life, I have gone through many situations. Both good and bad. I have accomplished so many things such as getting into college, improving my grades and getting a job. I have also failed at so many things. These situations have taught me very important life lessons. So I will share them with you:
Always Trust Yourself
You should alway do what you feel is right. You are the only person in the world who knows what is the most appropriate thing for you. So do not doubt yourself. We all grow up and have many experiences in life. So even if you had an unpleasant experience, it will help you make better choices later in life. This is what life's about; learning from past experiences. So failure is good sometimes. Trusting yourself will also help you not take into consideration what others think about you because you will be content with your decisions.
Never Let Anyone Take Advantage of You
Never force yourself to do something for someone else. You have to say no to anyone asking you for too much. Even if they are family, friends or close colleagues. Yes, of course help the people close to you. But do it because you are willing. If you do something unwillingly, you will only weaken your pride. And when you do something unwillingly, it will be done carelessly. So save your energy on the important things in life.
Forgive but Never Forget
If someone you love has hurt you, forgiveness is a key in saving the relationship. You should forgive because you love and cherish that person. This individual is someone who you spent many good times with. However, this individual has hurt you and is capable of doing so again. So never forget and always be aware of that individual. Gradually, you will be able to trust this person again if they show that they have changed.
Experience Everything
Make a bucket list! Then, do everything on that bucket list. When that is done, create another list. Life is short and new experiences do not come easy. So if a new experience comes by do not make excuses. If you are available and capable to do such an activity, you should do it. You never know, such an experience might not come again. And you can regret whatever you missed out on. So, go ahead and create new memories and experiences. There is no limit to what you can do.
Be Kind to People
Be nice to people; close ones and strangers. The way you treat someone can have an impact on their life. Smiling at someone or giving someone a dollar can help brighten up that person's day. Also, being known as a wholehearted and kind person will give you more confidence and a more approachable personality. I try to do something nice to someone everyday.
The many experience I have had in my short life have taught me many valuable things. These experiences taught me to never doubt myself because I know what is right for me. I should never let anyone take advantage of me. I forgive people but I never forget any injustices they have done to me. I know I will regret it, if I miss out on an exciting experience. And I always try to be nice to people.
