There are a few things I learned after going to New York City. Here are a few places to visit that will allow you to avoid many of the tourist traps that Times Square may radiate. This trip is not one to take if you are not a lover of walking! Site seeing is no easy task … believe me, I even got a fever one night from being so exhausted. Fuel your inner adventurer with these yummy options!
1. Bar Sixty-Five at Rockefeller Center
This is a very high-end bar that is located on the 65th floor of the city’s Rockefeller Center. Save your money and skip the Top of the Rock tour and go straight
2. Three of Cups
Located downtown on 1st Avenue, Three of Cups has anything and everything. For a foodie like me, this eclectic restaurant sure did hit the spot. I would definitely go for their weekend brunch where you can get two drinks with your meal all for under $20! They have your favorite classic Italian meals, along with this delicious Brunch option.
3. Don Antonio
Divine is all I can say! We chose this location because we were craving some classic New York pizza, and we left in awe! The small size and low lights give it a very fancy vibe, and the staff is excellent. After learning that the other location of Don Antonio is in Naples, Italy it is clear why it is so authentic. If you want some classic New York pizza, make your way to Don Antonio. It is located on West 50th near Times Square and is very close in proximity to many of the Broadway Shows.
4. Eataly
I could spend an entire day in this place and I wouldn’t mind at all. Eataly is an old factory turned Italian marketplace and is filled with mini markets, multiple restaurants that fill all your cravings, and a cooking school. It is located in the Flat Iron district on 5th Avenue. Although you can’t go wrong with any of Eataly’s meal options, my favorite thing they offered was a crepe from Nutella World. Having grown up on Nutella, this sweet treat tasted like it was shipped straight from Europe.
5. Del Frisco's Grille
There a few locations for Del Frisco’s around the city and WOW it was amazing. It is in close proximity to many things such as the Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and many shops. Pretty much anything on the lunch menu will do you good! My favorite part was that I got a mini ketchup with my meal. They also have a famous cheesecake crème brulee. It is a layer of cheesecake with crème brulee on top – can you say yum?
