Picture the scene. Your in a great bar on top of some random hotel in the middle of New York City, drinking a glass of bubbly, and the ball is starting to drop... "10..9...8...7..6..5..4..3..2...1... HAPPY NEW YEAR" You cheer with all of your friends, and watch the festivities going on below. Suddenly one of your friends asks, "What is your New Years Resolution?" She goes on and on about how she wants to go abroad but while she is saying this, you can hardly hear her because in your mind, the music has stopped ,and so has the party. "So what is yours?" You suddenly hear... "New Years Resolutions? I dont need one of those." You say to her and you both end up giggling. Now you are looking on your computer a few days later, and one of your friends has posted her resolution. Its perfectly fine to post it a few days later when you decide you do want one, your friends won't mind! To inspire you, here are 5 resolutions that can actually be accomplished!
1. Start Forgiving More
Forgiveness is a big step and a major part of the New Year anyways. Forgive those who have done you wrong, and try to re bond with them at some point.
2. Spread Kindness
In big city's all across America people are focusing on love, and spreading it all around! Show people you care in little ways. Take a lonely person out to eat, give a lady a flower on the street, open the door for people, or give someone you do not like a compliment! Have you called grandma yet? You should probably do that and just have a normal conversation with her.
3. Volunteer
Are you a dog lover? Try Volunteering at your local animal shelter with animals that need to be fed and watered. Go to random pet stores, and play with the animals that don't always get played with. Try running a book drive or a canned food drive at your school! Volunteer at your local soup kitchen, or local community theater! There is so much we can do in this world to give back! If you are a book lover, consider donating some time to read to little kids at Barnes N Noble, or helping at your local library! You can even sign Petitions on Care.Com! Even just helping give somebody something to eat! You can even pick up litter with a loved one on the street or beach!
4. Join A New Organization
There are so many organizations out there waiting for help! There are communities like Green Team on campus, Masonic organizations, Food for the Poor, No Kid Hungry, Compassion, and other great grassroots places that are always looking for new members! 5. Donate To Charity
If you cant join them, donate! The Salvation Army is ALWAYS looking for new clothes, and kickstarter has several projects that need help starting! Compassion and other christian organizations are always looking for people to help children starving in other countries! Give food to your local food bank! This kinda goes with Volunteering! You can even donate to local theaters in the area!
