At this point in the semester, there are some mutual feelings spreading around college campuses. While there are a couple good feelings, most are pretty unbearable, but here are five feelings that I guarantee every single college student is feeling right about now.
1) Dread.
With finals rapidly approaching, GPAs quickly dropping, and motivation flying out the window, no one wants to anticipate their final grade. There seems to be this overbearing sense of dread washing over every single student on campus, making those AM classes even harder to get up and out of bed for.
2) Sleeplessness.
Any successful student knows that getting enough sleep is key to performing well in school, but with all the cramming and studying and last-minute papers that need to be written before that 11:59 deadline, who has time for sleep? I mean, honestly? Everyone is moping around like zombies in need of brains, when in actuality, we just need a couple more "z's."
3) Laziness.
I don't think I've had the opportunity to properly work out in about a month, and it might be the cause of my current downfalls. But, with all the work and the meetings, who has time to actually take care of their bodies? Just chug an Emergen-C. Who needs endorphins anyway? You'll be alright.
4) Homesickness.
Now, I'm not necessarily homesick, but I do miss my King-sized bed and home-cooked meals. Thanksgiving is only a week away, so praise God for that, but it's also still a week away.
5) A Little Bit of Hope
With only three weeks of class left before finals, there is a lot of hope going around on campus. The fact that we've made it this far, brings many of us hope that we can surely make it to December 16, and out of this semester. We can survive, I promise! Now, buckle down, and finish strong, friends!
