With summer gone, you may be wishing for the warm weather to return. Summer means trips to the beach, ice cream, and enjoying those action-packed summer blockbusters. These films have explosions, excitement and always feature a cast of your favorite characters. But just because summer is over doesn't mean you have to pine for the warmer days. The arrival of fall brings more than just cold weather. Fall means a new round of movies that are sure to satisfy what summer films left you hoping for more of.

1. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" (September 30th)

This best-selling novel finally gets its film adaption. Featuring a fantastic cast of stellar child actors portraying strange children, "Miss Peregrine's" is perfect for setting that spooky fall mood. This film centers on an orphanage for children with very specific traits. Channeling "American Horror Story", this film has mystery, suspense, spooks and even a little bit of humor. In addition, if you've already binge-watched "Stranger Things," this film fills the Eleven-sized hole in your heart as well. "Miss Peregrine's" is an ideal fall film.

2. "The Girl on the Train" (October 7)

Another book to movie adaptation, this film is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the fall season. Starring Emily Blunt as Rachel Watson, an alcoholic woman losing grips on her sanity, "The Girl on the Train" also features Justin Theroux, Allison Janney and Lisa Kudrow. This film follows in the wake of the success of "Gone Girl" with plenty of twists and turns, filled with intricacies from the plot to the characters themselves. The novel itself has gasp-worthy plot points and devious, scheming villains, and its transition to the big screen will surely be a success.

3. "Doctor Strange" (November 4)

The latest installment in Marvel's quest to bring every comic book you've ever loved to life, "Doctor Strange" features Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange. This movie adds another story to the ever-expanding Marvel universe by introducing fans to a real-life Dr. Strange as well as rewarding old fans with a movie adaption that's sure to please. While we wait for the latest "Avengers", and the newest "Spiderman," this film can provide some much-needed superhero excitement.

4. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" (November 18)

It's been five years since anything even remotely Harry Potter has graced the silver screen. Finally, after months of waiting, the latest installment in the adventures of the wizarding world has arrived. Eddie Redmayne stars in this film based on one of the textbooks every Hogwarts student has read. The Harry Potter hype has certainly not died down, and this film's debut will surely prove that.

5. "Moana" (November 23)

A new Disney princess has arrived just in time for the holidays. "Moana" is a tale of adventure and excitement and is sure to engage young audiences and all fans of Disney alike. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
