There is nothing worse than reading a great book and finding out that it's a series...and the rest of the books aren't written yet. I cannot tell you how many times I've screamed into the sky, asking the clouds why a book ended on a cliffhanger. So, in an effort to assist all you helpless bibliophiles, I've created this list of completed series, trilogies, or duologies that you can binge read all day RIGHT NOW!! (How often does that happen?)
1. "Something Strange and Deadly" by Susan Dennard
Trilogy includes: "Something Strange and Deadly", "A Darkness Strange and Lovely", and "Strange and Ever After"
Follow the adventures of Eleanor Fitt as she battles the rising dead in 1800ish Philly. Ghosts, danger, and an illustrious love interest, "Something Strange and Deadly" will have you hooked from the beginning pages of book one to the soul crushing finale in the third. I swear, if you don't read this trilogy then you're seriously missing out. Seriously.
2. "Magic Under Glass" by Jaclyn Dolamore
Duology includes: "Magic Under Glass" and "Magic Under Stone"
This duology is so pure and amazing. It centers around a dancer who is hired by a wealthy and handsome sorcerer to sing with his automaton...who seems too human-like for Nim's comfort. Fall in love along with Nim as she uncovers the secrets of her new residence and battles for independence.
3. "The Lunar Chronicles" by Marissa Meyer
Series includes: "Cinder", "Scarlet", "Cress", "Fairest" (Novella), "Winter", "Stars Above" (Collection of Novellas)
Do you love fairy tales? Do you love SPACE? Well, this is the perfect series for you. Come along for the wildest, most romantic ride of your life with classic fairy tale characters re-imagined for a new audience. Meyer's tale will satisfy your taste for a traditional fairy tale while surprising you at ever turn with her adventures. This is the perfect series for literally anyone.
4. "The Winner's" Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski
Triology includes: "The Winner's Curse", "The Winner's Crime", and "The Winner's Kiss"
WhoamyGod. Talk about a star-crossed romance. I'm in love with this series so much. It brings a tear to my eye. This trilogy weaves a web of romance, danger, betrayal, and honor thicker than a warrior's chain mail. Watch out, because you never know who you can trust. (But I trust Kestrel because she's badass and 10/10 the greatest warrior. I'd follow her anywhere tbh).
5. "The Fire and Thorns" Trilogy by Rae Carson
Trilogies include: "The Girl of Fire and Thorns", "Crown of Embers", and "Bitter Kingdom"
Oh. My. God. I'll admit, I had my doubts in the beginning, but that all changed when I finished the first book. It was so easy to get lost in the court intruigue and danger of transporting a special godstone (harbored in the belly of the bratty princess). The tranformation and character growth of the chosen one, clueless Princess Elisa, is so well written and believable 10/10 would read 200x again.
