5 Cheap Places To Vacation

For all of those college students on a budget and have loans up the wall but still would like to have a nice getaway every now and then to clear your mind and relax, this is for you!

5 Cheap Places To Vacation

1. Thailand

Budget hotel rooms costs around $5 per day, a beer will cost about $2, and sightseeing activities run at about $15. Even those pictures of all the islands you see in travel brochures are a bargain. Friendly locals, warm weather, delicious food, lots of activities, jaw-dropping beaches, and stunning jungles mean you'll have plenty to explore. Thailand has it all.

2. Cambodia

Backpackers can find beds in dorms for as little as $3-5 a night, a bowl of soup or noodles for less than a dollar, 50-cent beers, and $3 cocktails. It costs $1 for a tuk tuk ride. They also have exciting night life and amazing food for very little amount of money. It is definitely a place you should but on your list of "must see" places.

3. Greece

Even before Greece went bankrupt, the country was a European bargain. Now, it's a budget traveler's paradise. Gyros cost around $3, you can get a huge lamb dinner for $10, drinks go for around $3, and single rooms can be found for under $30. An expensive night for me in Greece was $55! Declining tourism has only helped ensure cheaper prices. Go there, enjoy historic sights, help the local economy, and save money.

4. Peru

Most people come here attracted to the Inca trail, but there's a lot more to the country than that. Here you can sail the Amazon, visit the deserted, white sand beaches of Mancora, and explore the ruins of other Inca destinations like Moray and Choquequirao. Meals are rarely more than $5, private guesthouse rooms are around $25, and you can go anywhere in the country for less than $30. Don't let those jaw-dropping prices for the Inca trail you see online deter you from one of the funniest, happiest, and cheapest countries in South America. Pro tip: If you go to Cuzco, you can get last-minute deals to Machu Picchu for 50 percent off!

5. Fiji

Thanks to the fancy Fiji water, you would think Fiji would be an expensive place to vacation, right? You're wrong! I mean yes, you can find plenty $1000-a-night extravagant hotels and suites on the water but you can also find hostels, guest houses, and dorm rooms you can stay in for about $25 a night; you just have to do the research. Transportation is cheep and the beach is free and that's all you need. you may want to buy a margarita every now and then. Bula!

If you are looking for adventure and fun on a budget, any of the above regions will allow you to stretch your limited funds without having to sleep on couches or eat ramen noodles. The dollar may not go as far as it used to, but there are still plenty of destinations around the globe where you can vacation for less than you'd spend in a day at home. So get out there and do it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
