Ahh, coffee. What better way to start off your morning by drinking a fresh cup of Joe? From the wonderful aroma to the ever so needed caffeine boost, coffee may be one of the best drinks known to man. And while the drink itself is incredible, what about the coffee shops that supply it? From Corporate America to family owned cafes, there's a lot to choose from. Thankfully, Michigan is known for some pretty great stores, and here are the top five places to drink some coffee when you're in the mitten!
1. Starbucks
I mean, what's to question here? It's everywhere, it's good, and the trenta is bigger than your face. No matter how big of a pick-me-up you need, Starbucks has got you covered.
2. Tim Hortons
It's cheap, and full of sugar. But honestly, totally worth it. Their Ice Capps are loaded with caffeine, sugar, and ice. My three favorite things. And you can get some really good donuts while you're there.
3. Caffe Tosi
Alright, so this one is a bit of a drive if you don't live in the wonderful southwest region of Michigan, aka Stevensville. But it's worth the drive. And their bearclaws are absolutely delicious.
4. The Red Hook
Another bit of an inconvenience, The Red Hook has two locations. One in Indian Village, Detroit, and another in Ferndale. Their chai changes lives, and they sell hard boiled eggs. Could anything be better? Absolutely not.
5. Great Lakes Coffee
Another strictly Detroit coffee company that's totally worth the drive, Great Lakes Coffee is absolutely delicious. Their matcha latte, while it looks disgusting, is purely delicious.
And there you have it, folks! Make sure you check these places out when you're in the area or just need a quick pick me up that only coffee and provide. Enjoy!
