Let's just get this out in the open: Boston is the best city ever. It's pretty clean, has a beautiful history and there are such lovely nooks and crannies you can escape to whenever you want.
So if you're looking to explore this beautiful little city, here are five awesome, easy, fun things to do in Boston.
1. Catch the sunrise.
Walking down to the Charles River or even taking a longer trip to Castle Island are a few easy ways to catch a beautiful sunrise. Especially in the summertime, Boston sunrises are irreplaceable.
2. Take a stroll in the Public Garden.
My favorite thing to do when it finally stops snowing (usually sometime in mid-April), is to simply walk in the city. Not all of Boston is city streets and tall buildings. The public garden is a beautiful spot smack in the middle of a bustling city. Lined with trees and flowers, this small area is a quick and gorgeous escape from crazy day-to-day life.
3. Walk the hills of Beacon Hill.
Beacon Hill is one of my favorite spots in Boston. When you get there, it's like crossing over into a tranquil paradise. You won't even feel like you're in the city anymore. It's quiet, beautiful, and just enjoyable. The hills are steep but the houses nestled in the cobblestone are just downright adorable. Spending time on Beacon Hill will make you want to move there, but just knowing it's there as an escape is enough to keep me coming back.
4. Go to the aquarium.
A lot of people think the aquarium is either for little kids or elderly folks. I'm 20. I love the aquarium. There are so many dolphins and penguins there. Just go.
5. Go to Mike's Pastry.

This is a must. Get on the green line, get off at Haymarket, and walk a block to Mike's Pastry in the North End. If there is a line out the door, wait in it. I promise it is worth the wait, whether it's ten minutes or an hour. The eclairs, the biscotti, EVERYTHING there is top notch. Just go. Whatever you get will be DELICIOUS.
These are only a few of my favorite things to do in Boston. Get out and explore this city! I'm sure you will discover far more activities to keep you busy and satisfied in Boston.
