49 Thoughts Everybody Has At The Airport
Spice4Life

Everybody travels, and especially around the holidays it can become extremely hectic. Flying out of a large, packed airport can only add stress to your life, and has probably resulted in these thoughts crossing your mind.

1. Okay. Finally at the airport. Where do I check in?

2. The ticket counter is way down there?

3. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE IN LINE FOR THIS AIRLINE?

4. Is my line full of actual sloths or are people this slow normally?

5. Sir. There is a gap in front of you. Get off your phone and move.

6. (30 seconds later) MOVE.

7. Okay. I'm finally at the front of the line.

8. And why is everyone at the kiosks taking forever to check in?

9. All you do is type in a confirmation number! How hard is it to press buttons?

10. Apparently very hard. Please move faster.

11. Thank you for moving faster, random old dude.

12. This literally took me one minute to check in. Everybody else is incompetent. Goodbye, luggage.

13. Thank you, TSA Pre-Check gods, for smiling down upon me.

14. Short line, short line, short line!

15. Yes ma'am, I am having a good day now that I'm in the short line.

16. People complain about security so often. They should get Pre-Check.

17. Why am I so excited to keep my shoes on?

18. I'm done with security. Where is my gate?

19. Gate 26. Please don't let it be at the end of the terminal.

20. It is. Why are you the very last gate?

21. Do the gate assignment gods and the Pre-Check gods not hang out?

22. They totally should.

23. Why is there a clothing store in the airport?

24. Why are all the clothes so ugly?

25. I spent half of my money paying for my checked bag. There's no way I can afford to buy clothes, too.

26. How is my gate still so far away? I've been walking for a solid 10 minutes.

27. I would never make a connecting flight here.

28. I would have to literally sprint to make my flight if I were late.

29. Am I really only halfway to my gate?

30. Wait. Is that a Starbucks in the distance?

31. Caffeine. I'm going to need caffeine to survive this.

32. How are there 200 people in line for Starbucks?

33. This is probably worse than the line for normal security.

34. Should I even bother staying in line? I could miss my flight.

35. You win this time, airplane. Starbucks can wait.

36. So close to the gate. How do people walk this slow?

37. If you're going to walk that slowly just walk close to the wall. Please.

38. Or wear a caution sign. Just something.

39. Made it to the gate with a few minutes before boarding. Solid.

40. Why is the only vacant chair at this gate next to the creepy old guy?

41. Nope, I'll just stand.

42. And finally boarding.

43. Just how many boarding groups are there? This is insane.

44. Thank you, airline man, I will enjoy my flight.

45. Find my seat, find my seat, find my seat...

46. Of course creepy old guy is my neighbor. This will be fun.

47. Time to put in the headphones and sleep for a few hours.

48. Hopefully this will be better when I wake up in a new city.

49. Goodnight, airplane.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
