Being in a sorority was totally the best decision you’ve ever made. You were a little weary at first as you looked up at all those smiling faces in their matching dresses and sky-high heels, but eventually you found your home. Now, you strut down the street, letters shinning on your shirt because you’re proud of the title “sorority girl.” You understand exactly what it means to be in a sisterhood and you know that despite the different things each girl brings to the table…you’re all similar in a few ways. Check out the 40 ways you know you’re in a sorority.

1. You know that Kate Spade wasn’t talking about personality when she said “she leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes.”

That was 100% about a trail of glitter.

2. All your T-shirts have frockets.

Those nifty little front pockets are perfect for everything. Pens, phones, cats... you name it.

3.You have about 150 best friends…

...plus all girls you meet in the bathroom.

4. You understand that sometimes drunk compliments have the most depth.

You know what they say – drunk words equal sober thoughts.

5. Sundays = chapter days.

6. You’re one goal in life is to be featured on TSM.

7. If it has your letters on it, it goes in the cart.

8. Spring is in the air…

...this means FORMAL.

9. Bid day is the most wonderful time of the year.

10. Getting lavaliered is your biggest aspiration…

...unless you’re into GDI's.

11. The only time you work out is for frat philanthropy.

Need to look good in those Norts and Nike elites while prancing around in front of the fraternity bros.

12. In your eyes…

...wine isn’t just for Wednesdays.

3. You always go shopping in your favorite boutique called Your Sisters’ Closet.

100% of any item!

14. Halloween is every weekend when it comes to social attire.

15. You probably call new members “babies.”

16. You and your sisters have pillow fights in your underwear...

Jk. This isn’t actually a thing.

17. You understand that fratties just wanna have fuuun, oh fratties just wanna have funnnnn!

18. You developed the best crafting powers…

...or maybe not, but you attempt everything you see on Pinterest anyway. Good thing some girls in your sorority are willing to craft for money. SHHH don’t tell Little.

19. Your Little probably has a photo album on her phone of all the embarrassing things you’ve done.

Can you say Senior Roast?

20. You fear the words “be recruitment ready.”

The hair... the makeup... the nails... the outfit. We put in more work to look 'recruitment ready' then those damn toddlers in tiaras.

21. Panera is your happy place.

22. You can juggle...

...two socials, chapter, study hours, a frat philanthropy, an exam, sleep, a college football game, day drinking, happy hour, a five page paper, hanging out with the BF, and fam dinner all in one weekend.

23. There is no blank space on your bedroom walls because your sisters love to craft for every occasion.

24. Your Big is your mom, your best friend, your big sister, and the girl that buys you alcohol when your still underage.

What more do you need?

25. You cried when you got your bid, you cried when you got your Big, and you cried when you got your Little.

So many happy tears.

26. The sorority introduced you to some of the coolest, prettiest and not-so-stereotypical girls you’ve ever known.

You know a rock climber, a competitive skier, a chemical engineer, some nurses, and a couple of bad-asses in uniform. If you ask me, your bases are covered. .

27. You can run a marathon in a pair of heels.

28. You learned the Greek alphabet faster than you learned the traditional one.

29. Your paddle is your prized possession. It hangs on the wall with such pride and grace.

30. You chant “always classy, never trashy” with your head in the toilet after a long night out.

31. All of your Instagram pictures contain a throw what you know, a fierce sorority squat or a fam stack.

32. You always wear your sorority girl uniform.

Leggings, puffer vests, tall boots, scarves... check. check. check. check.

33. You understand that the wrath of Standards is way worse than the wrath of your own mother.

34. You’re probably on a first name basis with bartenders, bouncers, frat boys and the cashier at the craft store.

35. Owning your first Lily Pulitzer dress was a real turning point in your life.

36. The nerdy side of you always comes out bright and early on Monday mornings because you know that GPA requirement ain't no joke.

Work hard, play harder.

37. You understand what it means to smile until your face hurts.

Thanks recruitment.

38. You probably stalked your Little way too hard and talk about her way too often.

39. You’ve tried every hangover remedy known to man.

The only thing that works? More alc.

40. You know graduation is coming up WAY too fast.

It's been the best few years of your life... you never wanna leave.

Some of these things might make you that ‘basic b*tch’ that everyone is always complaining about, but you know you wouldn’t have it any other way. You love talking about your Big and Little, theme parties make you feel some type of way, and your sisters make the days a little brighter. What’s not to love?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
