40 Instagram Captions To Most Likely See On Your Feed
By Tori Deckert

The sad yet popular talk of what to make the caption on instagram has become so known I felt an article was necessary. The pathetic part is that this will grab more attention than an article on a real event. Here are some of the most used captions that pop up on my feed that even I have used.

1. "She thought the view was pretty, but I thought she was prettier"

Probably both pretty, but only one is probably recognized.

2. "Caption this"

Or just "Caption"

3. "Szn"

It's that time of year everyday for something new. "Sweater szn" "Date party szn".

4. *Insert emoji that has nothing to do with the picture*

Got nothing else, pick an emoji.

5. "# reasons not to let your bf...."

Girl these days, typical.

6. *Insert detailed caption explaining what is going on in the photo*

Trying to think of a caption so you just explain what is going on in the photo "Brittany originally was doing a kiss face, Amber got distracted by the guy behind her, everyone was moving, Kelly only wanted the photo for instagram so here we are..."

7. The classic "Squad"

You and your crew.

8. The cliff hanger of no caption

Take the picture and figure out yourself, the caption is left behind.

9. "Views"

View everywhere.

10. "Low quality pic, high quality people"

Or the "funny" yet sarcastic "High quality pic, low quality people"

11. "If you aren't ____ you're doing it wrong"

The typical if you aren't posing or attending wherever the people are, I guess we are doing it wrong.

12. "Just want it to be friday"

Needing the reason to post a photo because you maybe haven't posted in awhile, so a throwback or photo you look good in is posted early in the week to want it to be the weekend again

13. "Here I am"

Not really knowing what to caption a selfie because sappy song lyrics were left and meant to stay in 2014. So, you go with the obvious "Here I am" or "This is me".

14. *INSERT DRAKE LYRIC*

You can NOT forget the most popular of all, just go with a Drake lyric.

“Nobody really likes us except for us”

“Whole squad on that real shit”

“No new friends” “I live for the nights that I can’t remember with the people that I won’t forget”

“My team good, we don’t really need a mascot”

“I still ride with my day one”

15. "I only posted this because she looks good"

The doubting yourself but hyping the other people up in the photo for whatever reason you think you don't look good, yet you posted it.

16. *Insert lyrics from Taylor Swifts "22" song*

When your 22, you'll understand this.

17. "Sorry mom"

Whatever you did that you shouldn't have done was posted with the caption "sorry mom". Eh, but are you really?

18. *Insert some boss a** lyric from Beyonce"

With the Queen herself getting more and more fierce by the day, a song lyric showing your bold, brave, hot-self was necessary, I assume.

19. "I woke up like this"

Another typical Beyonce quote. Yet, no matter how washed up this caption is, someone still chooses this to post next to some selfie they probably didn't wake up and just take.

20. Sunday comes -- "Sundays call for selfies"

Do they, do they really, though?

21. "TBT because..."

Throw is back always.

22. "Blurry like my night"

HM...

23. "Dime piece"

We are now dimes, what if I want to be a quarter? Hm. The overused popular word "dime" explains everything to anyone and it is a great compliment to women.

24. "Sunday Funday"

Post a picture any day of the week because that day probably has some dedicated occasion to it.

25. The shortened "cute" post

Instead of "You're my best friend, and I love you. Thanks for being you <3" It is most likely to be "ur me bff, ily. thnx 4 bein u *insert rock on sign*"

26. "Life is better with you."

The true complimented caption, short and simple.

27. "That's my baby, that's my baby"

I don't really know, I just see it.

28. "The __ to my ___"

You and you best friend posting, "The lime to my tequila" and so on.

29. "It's lit."

'Cause it probably is.

30. "Black like my soul"

Oh, I just get nervous with this one. The exemplary caption to go with whatever black you are wearing even if you don't have a dark soul.

31. *Insert sarcastic caption about your friend*

The rude, yet meaningless caption toward the other person viewed in the photo. "idk why she's in this but here you go."

32. "Saturdays are for the boys"

Because I guess they are.

33. "Saturdazzeeee"

Probably for some fun Saturday, or lazy Saturday occasion and you couldn't think of anything else.

34. *Insert corny Greek life quote*

Too many to name, but by even reading this, I am sure you are laughing at the sappy posts you have created.

35. "__ Days until I'm back with __"

So everyone can know!

36. "I guess I miss you"

Trying to act cool by posting a caption showing you really don't care when you obviously do but blatantly posting the photo for everyone to see with a 'cute' sarcastic caption.

37. "idk what makes me happier ___ or __"
The comparing caption. The unaware of what makes you happier, the hot weather, cold beer, cute boy, or the end of finals, end of a season, etc.

38. "Snap saw it first"

Snapchat saw it, so Instagram might as well.

39. "Go best friend, that's my best friend"

Go where? LOL just kidding, but it is a classic.

40. "The only ___ I need"

When you feel you don't need anyone else but you and that person, right?

Now go post a picture! Here are some captions if you need help! ;)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
