40 Celebrities Sorted Into Hogwarts Houses

Because haven't you always wondered, "what house would Drake be in?"

We’ve all done it. No matter how big or small of a fan you are, everyone takes the classic “What Hogwarts House are you In?” quiz. It is actually our God-given right as millennials to find out this information. It’s crucial to know which HP characters you would be hanging out with, and actually can tell you a great deal about your personality. With the approaching release of Fantastic Beasts, I have been getting back into my old HP-obsessive ways. This leads me to constantly think about things like “why can’t I have my own niffler?”, or “what house would Drake be in?”. I can’t answer the first question, unfortunately, but the second can be figured out through some research. Celebrities take those quizzes too, or the internet speculates on which they would be in, and here are some of the conclusions reached:

Hufflepuff

Often described as “hard-working, friendly, loyal and honest.” This house is often forgotten about, and considered the “rejects” or “misfits.” However, a closer look clearly proves this to be false – as Cedric Diggory is a spectacle all on his own.

  • Drake
  • Eddie Redmayne
  • Khloé Kardashian
  • Rupert Grint (hm…)
  • Matthew Lewis (of course)
  • Lady Gaga
  • Josh Hutcherson
  • Katy Perry
  • Zooey Deschanel
  • Leonardo DiCaprio

Slytherin

Rowling describes Slytherins as “shrewd, ambitious, clever and resourceful.” They usually receive a negative connotation, often referred to as the villians. Though they may be statistically inclined that way, it is unfair to summarize the whole house as such. Some great people have come from here, such as Snape.

  • Kris Jenner
  • Pitbull
  • Dave Franco
  • Macklemore
  • Michael Cera
  • Ariana Grande
  • Nicki Minaj
  • Victoria Beckham
  • David Schwimmer
  • Joe Jonas

Gryffindor

We all know them as “brave, courageous, chivalrous, daring and bold.” Likely the most well-known house, Gryffindor contains some crowd favorites. However, this is not to say it is better than others.

  • Bonnie Wright (of course)
  • Tom Felton (lol)
  • America Ferrera
  • Miley Cyrus
  • Adele
  • Chance the Rapper
  • Amy Schumer
  • Nick Offerman
  • Matt Damon
  • Justin Trudeau

Ravenclaw

Stereotypically seen as “clever, creative and possesses wisdom and wit.” Known for their smarts, Ravenclaws remain quite soft-spoken much like our Hufflepuff friends. Do not let them fool you.

  • Taylor Swift
  • Ryan Seacrest
  • Ashton Kutcher
  • Beyoncé
  • Benedict Cumberbatch
  • Kendrick Lamar
  • Oprah Winfrey
  • Tina Fey
  • Lorde
  • Stephen Colbert

There you have it: a bunch of information you have always secretly wondered about. If you’re like me, the best part you got out of this was Tom Felton being in Gryffindor and disappointing his entire family. Don’t know what house you are? Go find out at Pottermore.com

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
