Being so young your life is a world win but I learned how to love myself first and find my happiness with telling my self these few things...

1. Garbage in, garbage out

I read about this saying in a book called “LIVE original” by Sadie Robertson and at first I did not understand it at all until I started utilizing it in my everyday life. When people say things that are negative or that bring worry to your life say "Garbage in, garbage out" inside your head and I promise that it works. Whatever that person is saying to you wont bring you happiness so just take it out as it comes in. You also have to analyze what is in your everyday life, if it is not something that will benefit you in a few years, or if its even a friend you’re not sure you should have tell yourself is it worth it? If not, GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT, you need you cleanse your everyday life in order to be a happier you and in order to life a life of valor and strength.

2. Read a Psalm a day and really understand the meaning.

When I was going through a hard time I turned to reading Psalms a lot. I would honestly Google my feeling and then add the word psalm to it and that really helped me meditate and feel genuinely happy. For example I would search “Psalms about not being nervous” or “Psalms about love” and there would be an abundance of things that would help me. Now a days, I'll pick one Psalm a day and really dive deep into it and figure out what it means and how it correlates to my feelings and how I can better myself with it. God is really good and everything he preaches can also help your daily life.

3. Planning out my future and setting a goal.

Sometimes one has no motivation at all and you find yourself in a slump, and something that really helped me was planning out my ideal future and having a goal or dream that I hope to reach one day. For example, I hope to one day move out of the state and start fresh but what pushes me is working hard in school and having a positive outlook on life so that I can reach that goal one day. Whenever I’m feeling down, I look at that goal and tell myself that the struggles that may come my way are not to hurt me but to push me harder to get to that dream or goal.

4. Writing in a journal every day.

I started to do this about 2 ½ years ago and it is something I will continue to do everyday. I don’t keep my journal private at all if my mom or friends want to for some reason snoop around I let them. My journal is my story it’s filled with adventures, sadness, happiness, struggles and achievements. Every single page in my journal shows who I am now, who I was before, and how I have matured over the years. It is so satisfying to sometimes turn to pages where I was going through ‘heartbreak’ or loosing someone close to me and seeing how much I’ve grown now.

I know I might be really young but the person that I am today is someone I am really proud of and I can really say I have come along way and have been able to help so many of my friends find their happiness again. Sometimes one goes through so many emotional stages but really your happiness comes from within yourself and if you don’t learn to help yourself first then no one else will be able to help you in the future.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
