1. The end of the year is more emotional than it should be.
You know you'll see your college friends next semester. You might even see some of them over summer break. But still, the ending of another year means being separated from them and your home away from home for some amount of time, and that leaves everyone feeling seriously depressed.
2. You wish summer wasn't even a thing anymore.
Yeah, summer has its perks. I love going to the beach or doing anything outdoors, enjoying the sun for that matter. But for a college student, summertime is pretty boring; nothing compares to the fun of being at school. Summer used to be the greatest time of year, but now it's a drag and is spent counting down the days until school starts again.
3. Visiting other schools makes you even more grateful for your own.
Recently, I moved my younger sister into college. While the school seemed great, just by walking around I knew it wasn't for me. Looking around at other campuses and noticing how unfamiliar they feel only makes you love your school that much more.
4. You're way too excited to get back to school.
When it's finally that time, and you've been shopping, packing, and rushing to get everything done, you're the happiest. Because you know along with all the stress comes the next best year of you're life!
