1. His good looks
Leo represents every woman's fantasy man. From Romeo and Juliet and Titanic to The Wolf of Wall Street and The Great Gatsby, it is obvious that there is no such thing as aging badly for him. Although his movies and photos from younger ages get the most attention, we still think of him as a DILF. It is hard not to picture ourselves being taught how to "hock a loogie" off a cruise ship by Jack Dawson. And let's not forget his piercing blue eyes.
2. His ability to play so many diverse roles
Leonardo's career started in the late 1980's with playing small roles in television series. His ability to play diverse roles was acknowledged when he played a starred in What's Eating Gilbert Grape as a mentally challenged young boy and This Boy's Life alongside Robert De Niro. Leo also starred as a drug addict in The Basketball Diaries before turning into a heartthrob in Romeo and Juliet in 1996 and Titanic in 1997. We love his sassy con artist character in Catch Me If You Can and he blows our minds in Shutter Island and Inception. In his most recent films, Django Unchained and The Wolf of Wall Street, Leonardo clearly masters playing the villain role. His talent is obvious and no matter how hard I try, I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that he hasn't won an Oscar.
3. He is charitable and an environmentalist
Leo frequently donates millions of dollars to causes advocating for the preservation of the environment such as The Elephant Crisis Fund and Oceana. He even started a charity foundation called the Leonardo Dicaprio Foundation for the preservation of Earth's “last wild places and implementing solutions that create a harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world." If you love animals and the environment, you and Leo are basically soul mates.
4. He is a relatable person
We all love it when the paparazzi capture pictures of Leo's random dance moves and the weird things he does. He reminds us of ourselves when we're having a dance party alone in our rooms. Possibly one of the best Leo pictures of all time is one of him enjoying time in the summer sun playing with a Nerf gun. His quirky attributes ultimately make him a relatable person and combined with all of the above, make him the closest thing to perfection.
