Longwood University has been my home for the past three years. This September will be my last year as an undergraduate at here. I'm really excited to start, but it's also bittersweet. Here are a couple of reasons as to why I cannot wait to be back in the lovely town of Farmville, Virginia!
1. I miss my roommates like crazy.
My three roommates are my best friends in the entire world. Two of them have been with me since the start of it all. We lived on the same hall my freshman year, and have been together ever since. They have watched my grow, just as much as I have watched them. I truly do believe that I am a stronger person because of my roommates. I wish all college students can build the same relationship with their roommates as I have with mine. I love those girls more than anything.
2. Alpha Phi Omega: my second home.
I joined Alpha Phi Omega my second year at Longwood. Besides my roommates, the friends I have made through Alpha Phi Omega will be life-long friends. Not only do we serve together, but we support each other. We lift each other up, and there isn't a problem too big that I can't go to my brother about. My brothers are the best bros in the world. "Omega Love and All My Own!" Love you guys!
3. The professors are so much more than just teachers.
Longwood's professors are among the most beloved professors in the college world. Classes at Longwood's tend to be smaller than the average size college class, but this doesn't stop the professors in the least. They're personal and really care about your goals and your future. They are by far the most amazing mentors I have had the chance of working with, and some day I hope I can be a professor as good as these guys.
4. Longwood is the most beautiful university in the world.
One of the reasons I fell in love with Longwood, was the fact that it is beautiful. The grass and flowers always seem to keep their color. The sidewalks and walkways stay trash-free and all of the maintenance workers work really hard to keep the campus stunning. I can always plan on studying outdoors, taking walks, and just spending all of my free time outside appreciating Longwood's gorgeous campus.
