Some directors just have their own special touch that makes a movie stick in your brain for years to come. There's something magical about a movie that speak to your soul with a mix of stunning cinematography, the great unknown, blood, and crass language. Here is a list of what I consider to be some of the best directors and films to grace our unworthy eyes.

1. Quentin Tarantino: Let's be honest, Tarantino has an endless supply of fantastic movies that make you sit back during the credits as you think to yourself, "Wow. Was I meant to watch such a masterpiece? Is this it for movies?" Miraculously, Tarantino somehow manages to create female characters that can stand on their own without a love interest. Five minutes into Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and you'll be inspired to go out and face every person that has ever done your beautiful self wrong. Besides the strong leading ladies (which is a very long list, perhaps saved for another article), Tarantino's plots for his movies are absolutely intoxicating and dense with humor, action and complex characters with colorful personalities. My movie suggestions would definitely have to be Kill Bill Vol. 1-2, Django Unchained, and Pulp Fiction.

Onto the next!

2. Baz Luhrmann: Luhrmann is kind of an odd fellow as he likes to take classic books/films and make his own rendition of them. He may be an acquired taste, but my God do I love him. Not only do I appreciate his artistic freedom with the classics, but he manages to integrate some of the best fitting soundtracks for them. The jazzy recreations of modern songs for The Great Gatsby deserve way more than just the one listen in theaters. The movies I would suggest would be The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge!, and Romeo and Juliet.

3. Wes Anderson: Anderson has to have some of the most visually pleasing movies out there. The long sprawling shots of aesthetically intoxicating settings can make any movie goer swoon. Anderson has quirky, likable characters that are frank and leave you feeling that there are many mysteries on this earth left to explore. Anderson always has the perfect amount of witty humor that make you want to embrace any peculiar qualities you weren't so sure of before. Seriously, I'm pretty sure Wes Anderson can turn any awkward situation into an endearing and charming encounter. For Anderson films, I highly suggest Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

4. Christopher Nolan: Christopher Nolan is the type of director to make movies that make you say, "wait, what?" at the end, but in a good way. I think that out of my list, Nolan has the most intricate of scripts. Although it can take a couple tries to re-watch and fully understand the intricacies Nolan has hidden within the story, once you've finally cracked the code, you'll find yourself questioning what isn't possible. Nolan's movies forces you to think of what is and what isn't and analyze human nature. Some of Nolan's thought provoking movies that I suggest are The Dark Knight, Inception, and Interstellar.

This article is just a very, very small portion of all the amazing directors/movies out there. But come one, these movies and directors are pretty great (seriously, get yourself some popcorn and dedicate a weekend to marathon these movies if you haven't already).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
