We all locked ourselves in our room, blasted these artists, and danced our butts off at one point. They should put all their differences aside, for our sake, and get back together.
1. The Spice Girls
Every girl's favorite band. Debuting their first album in 1994, "Spice," they took the world by storm. As an all girl pop group, they spread the importance of girl power (insert peace sign Baby Spice throwing up the peace sign here). Every girl jammed to Wannabe and Stop! Ginger Spice notoriously walked out on the band in 1998 and destroyed basically every young girls childhood. Years later, the girls put aside any differences they had to perform at the 2012 Olympics in London, which you can watch here. If you were anything like me, you probably cried at your childhood regaining it's strength. At the end of the day, the Spice Girls remain on everyone's party playlist.
2. Blink-182
You're lying to yourself if you didn't think you were the edgiest person when you listened to Blink-182. Debuting their first album in 1992, they took the punk world by storm. All you really needed was to put on your choker and cake on the eyeliner and you'd be set to jam out to Blink-182 in your bedroom. By day we were dressed in Limited Too, by night we were jumping around listening to Blink-182, pretending we knew how to skateboard. Technically, they are still around, but missing a few members, Scott Raynor and Tom DeLonge. You can listen to one of my favorites, Anthem Part Two, here. Warning: You may break your neck from head-banging.
3. S Club 7
So they may be a one-hit, maybe a two-hit wonder. However, they embodied everything awesome about the 1990s. The Spice Girls' former manager formed S Club 7 in 1998, ironically the same year the Spice Girls broke up.They somehow ended up with a show, S Club 7 in Miami, even though they weren't popular in the least. There must be something about the British and pop music that creates magic to the ears. Who didn't love S Club Party and their witty comebacks? If you are lucky enough to live in the United Kingdom, you could've seen their comeback tour!
"Ain't no party like an S Club Party!"
4. Destiny's Child
Obviously, Destiny's Child should reunite in order to save everyone's childhood from completely perishing. While some say members other than Beyoncé were irrelevant, I have to firmly disagree and say that they all made beautiful music of the 1990s all the way through the early 2000s. Starting with five members, the girl group eventually dwindled down to a trio. Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams kept the group together to eventually sell over 60 million records to date. Every young girl shook what little her mama gave her to any Destiny's Child song. The group never officially broke up, they just haven't made any music together in a few years. The trio claims they are just on a "break." (Okay, we all know what a "break" really means). In 2013, Beyonce reunited the group for her Super Bowl performance, which was simply perfect.
