It is hard to remind yourself of what you are thankful for in the midst of work, school and the many extra activities you are a part of. All the stress sometimes makes it hard to think of what is really good in your life, and what will be there once everything starts to calm down again. However, many people only take a moment to think of all this on Thanksgiving. While this day is a great opportunity to think of what's important while with close family, we should spend more time appreciating what we have. Here are thirty things to be thankful for each day of November.
1. Family that loves you and supports you.
2. Friends that are there for you through anything
3. Freedom, this country allows us many freedoms, like freedom of speech or freedom of religion, that not everyone in the world is allowed to have.
4. Food at the table
5. Education because despite homework and tests being annoying, we are lucky to have an education that is easily accessible when compared to other places.
6. Housing that protects us from the elements.
7. A job that provides enough income to live comfortably
8. Pets that are cute and make you smile.
9. Little acts of kindness. These are some of my favorite things to witness
10. Good books
11. Extracurricular activities that keep you busy but you love them
12. Clothes for the different seasons
13. Good health
14. Sunrises/ Sunsets
15. Safe area to live in
16. Laughter
17. Fun times with friends/ good memories
18. Important life lessons because despite the hard times that probably taught you this lesson, you can't appreciate a good day without a couple of bad ones. Besides, it is always important to learn something new.
19. Sunshine/ moons/ stars
20. Flowers
21. A comfy bed to sleep in
22. Music, the definition of happiness for many people.

This month I want to be more vigilant in remembering the good in each of these things and how thankful I am for them! Some of these little things are taken for granted, but they make life great just the same.
